Steven was raised in the Seattle area by some swell people who he refers to as "parents"... He also has a number of siblings who are also pretty swell and for the most part far more interesting than he is.

Steven is a graduate of American Conservatory Theatre's Advanced Training Program in San Francisco. He has appeared on stage with such companies as American Conservatory Theater, Utah Shakespearean Festival, California Shakespeare Festival and many others.

A veteran of many tv shows and commercials, Steven is best known for starring in the hit FOX show "My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance' and for playing the recurring role of Joe on ABC's "Grey's Anatomy".

He is married to creature builder and special effects artist, Anneliese Boies
